Group Assistant Coordinator
JANS at The St. Regis Deer Valley store is located on the ski-in, ski-out level of The St. Regis Hotel, this location offers premium ski rentals for hotel guests, ski tuning, and ski apparel and accessories.
The Group Assistant Coordinator works closely with the JANS-ST. REGIS Manager, The St. Regis Hotel Event Hosts, The St. Regis Group Accountants and The Group Event Managers to handle various group ski rental sales administrative tasks. This pivotal role involves keeping guest and hotel communications smooth, assisting with sales operations, and providing support for group ski rentals. This is a Winter Full Time seasonal position.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organizational Skills: Expertly manage Group files, contracts, and client communication with precision. Maintain meticulous records and ensure accurate data entry practices. Drive efficiency by handling the preparation of Group Folders and distribution of Group Facts Sheet. Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize competing tasks/initiatives on time.
• Communication: Serve as a proficient communicator, fostering collaboration between teams and delivering swift solutions to clients.
• Guest Service: Takes pride in maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor while supporting clients and internal teams. Coordinating small-large group ski rental sales/parameters and providing top-notch assistance. Must thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Store Knowledge: Will need to learn to work POS system, selling of soft goods and rental tech position. Utilizing this knowledge to communicate with group leaders about what Jans offers is expected. Expectations are to assist with daily store operations between groups, which are generally Mid December and March.
• Scheduling: This position requires flexibility in schedule. Typically, 40 hours a week, 5 days a week. Scheduling will vary according to the needs of the store and Groups. Possible weekends and Holidays based on business demands.
• Achieve Goals: Demonstrates awareness of established goals for the department and the role played in Sales process to achieve and/or exceed these goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in an administrative role preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant Industry Merchandising experience.
