The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) proposes a land exchange involving a 180- acre parcel of land in Morgan and Summit counties within the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The 180 acres will be exchanged for 115 acres of privately owned land, including a 40-acre inholding in the WMA and 75 acres adjacent to the WMA. The parcel to be relinquished by UDWR will be used for private grazing, while the parcels to be acquired by UDWR will be managed for wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities for the public. UDWR acquiring the 40-acre inholding will protect the entire Henefer-Echo WMA from the disturbance associated with any future development of the inholding, and improve property boundaries. If you would like to comment on this proposed land exchange, please send your written correspondence to: Hailey Blair (Email Me, 801-538-4711), UDWR, PO Box 146301 Salt Lake City, Utah 84114-6301. PUBLISHED IN THE PARK RECORD ON SATURDAY JUNE 5, 2021 AND WENESDAY JUNE 9, 2021.
